No new coronavirus deaths at Merseyside hospitals

There have been no further deaths from coronavirus in Merseyside hospitals.

Once again the NHS has confirmed that no Covid-19 deaths have been added to Trusts covering our region.

The full breakdown for deaths at our region's Trusts are as follows:

Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust - 4

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust - 4

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 19

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 462

Merseycare NHS Foundation Trust - 3

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust - 149

St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust - 207

The Walton Centre - 10

Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 133

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 236

In a statement, NHS England said: "A further 38 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,832.

"Patients were aged between 33 and 96 years old. Two patients, aged 50 and 69, had no known underlying health conditions.

"Their families have been informed."

The Department of Health will provide a fuller picture of updated deaths later today, which will include all care home and community deaths.
