James Corden celebrated the last day of Donald Trump’s presidency with a Les Misérables parody.

In the spoof, which aired during Tuesday’s episode of The Late Late Show (19 January), Corden and members of the cast performed a political version of the musical’s hit “One Day More”.

"One day more/ The final day of Trump as President/ The White House has a brand new resident/ It’s been four years of endless crimes/ But now he’s finally out of time,” they sang.

“No more days of angry tweets (‘Cuz this time he’s banned for good)/ Ship him off to Mar-a-Lago (Do they even want him there?)/ Biden better change the sheets (Maybe throw away the bed)/ Will you change the locks with me?”

Les Misérables stars Patti LuPone, Matt Lucas, Joshua Grosso, Jillian Butler, Emily Bautista, Kyle Scatliffe and Shuler Hensley were involved in the skit.

On Trump’s last day in office, his list of presidential pardons has made headlines.

Hours before President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, the Trump administration released the full list of the 143 people who will receive either pardons or commuted sentences.

This includes his former political adviser Steve Bannon.

Only a small number of figures from the world of entertainment made it onto the list, including rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black.
