No, Kawhi Leonard didn’t leave Drake hanging during Game 5

No Raptors fan has been more involved with the game action than Drake in these NBA playoffs. We all saw the shoulder rub for Nick Nurse during the Eastern Conference Finals and the trash talk with Warriors players.

But there has been very few Drake-Kawhi moments this postseason because it’s Kawhi Leonard we’re talking about.

At least initially, it looked like Drake had been on the wrong end of a high-five attempt with Kawhi.

During the Game 5 loss to the Warriors, a video went viral of Leonard walking past Drake without acknowledging the rapper. The tweet tried to frame it as Drake getting left hanging by Kawhi … but no, watch it again.

Drake was just putting his phone on the table.

While Drake did appear to say something to Leonard, it would be a reach to say that Drake got left hanging. That wasn’t what happened there.

After the game, Drake got plenty of daps from Raptors fans.

He looked like a player who gave it all he had in a loss. Poor Drake.
