Gardai arrested a man after a reckless car chase going from Kildare to Dublin on Saturday evening.
The long-haul chase ended after the driver hit a barrier in the City West area of Tallaght having been spotted at the roadworks on the M7.
He was then arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and had his car seized.

The driver's faith was then sealed after a check showed the vehicle had no insurance, NCT, tax, and the driver produced no licence.
Pictures show empty cans of beer with gardai saying the man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

They said: "Naas RPU: Member of public alerted us to car driving dangerously at M7 r/works
"Car failed to stop for Gardaí. Crashed at barrier at City West.
