No Good Deed review – low-rent home invasion exploiter

Idris Elba’s star power aside, it’s hard to see why this low-rent home invasion exploiter (shot two years ago) needs to be troubling the inside of a cinema rather than proceeding directly to its natural home on DVD. Elba seethes as psychopathic prison escapee Colin Evans who pitches up at the house of Terry Granger (Taraji P Henson) while her husband is away on business. There’s a few table-turning twists that lend a veneer of final-girl sister-power (Henson gets to kick butt and balls) but little else to provide big-screen distraction.
