Monkey brings sad news for fans of ITV boss Peter Fincham and Endemol's Tim Hincks's band No Expectations. Despite playing Latitude recently, they will not be "getting the band back together" for this year's MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival. Last year they were the hit of the festival, with executives including Alan Yentob and Jay Hunt taking to the dancefloor and Mark Thompson stagediving into the crowd. Actually Monkey just made that last bit up. But fear not, there are rumours No Expectations may play at ... wait for it ... Mipcom instead. It's almost worth going to Cannes for that alone.
