Mikel Arteta's team selection for tonight's Premier League fixture against Southampton has got a number of Arsenal fans talking.
The Gunners go into the game on the back of a 1-0 loss at the hands of Saints in the FA Cup fourth-round tie just three days ago as Gabriel Magalhaes' own-goal proved to be the difference.
That loss ended Arsenal's six-game unbeaten run across all competitions and it remains to be seen if that was simply a minor bump in the road.
With that said, Southampton do have the upper hand as they've not lost any of the two meetings against the Gunners this season and will open up a five-point gap between the two sides in the table with a win.
But in an attempt to get his side back on the winning trail and to avoid back-to-back losses at St Mary's, Arteta has made several changes to the side which started the cup tie three days ago.
Five to be exact.
As expected, Emile Smith Rowe and David Luiz are recalled after being rested three days ago, while Thomas Partey, Alexandre Lacazette, and Bukayo Saka are back in the team.
New signing Mat Ryan is on the bench again, but Kieran Tierney and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang miss out through injury and personal reasons respectively.
Arsenal XI: Leno; Bellerin, David Luiz, Holding, Cedric; Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Smith Rowe, Pepe; Lacazette
Most of the reaction from Arsenal supporters on social media has centered around the inclusion of Nicolas Pepe.
