No doubt Wisconsin tops Big Ten, but who's No. 2?

Feb. 10--Records, last week's ranking in parentheses.

1. Wisconsin (21-2, 9-1; 1): Sophomore guard Bronson Koenig has been underrated. He scored a career-high 16 points in the victory over Northwestern. Up next: Tuesday at Nebraska.

2. Ohio State (18-6, 7-4; 3): D'Angelo Russell's triple-double against Rutgers again highlighted the freshman's multifaceted talents. Up next: Wednesday vs. Penn State.

3. Maryland (19-5, 7-4; 2): The Terrapins are struggling to get used to life on the road in the Big Ten, losing their last three by large margins. Up next: Wednesday vs. Indiana.

4. Indiana (17-7, 7-4; 4): The Hoosiers are 2-3 in their last five games, but Troy Williams is hoping to get them back on track. He scored 20 against Michigan. Up next: Wednesday at Maryland.

5. Purdue (15-9, 7-4; 6): The Boilermakers had three victories against ranked teams in a 12-day stretch, but took a step back at Minnesota. Up next: Thursday at Rutgers.

6. Iowa (15-8, 6-4; 7): A gigantic victory against Maryland was overshadowed by Adam Woodbury poking Terrapins guard Melo Trimble in the eye. Up next: Thursday vs. Minnesota.

7. Illinois (16-8, 6-5; 11): The Illini, who have won three straight, overcame a controversial call to win for a second straight season at Michigan State. Up next: Thursday vs. Michigan.

8. Michigan State (15-8, 6-4; 5): Losses at the Breslin Center are supposed to be rare, so the Spartans' defeat to Illinois was disappointing. Up next: Tuesday at Northwestern.

9. Minnesota (15-9, 4-7; 10): The Gophers have won four straight at home but haven't won on the road since December 2. Up next: Thursday at Iowa.

10. Michigan (13-11, 6-6; 8): The Wolverines have lost three straight and next will face a sellout crowd in Champaign. Up next: Thursday at Illinois.

11. Nebraska (13-10, 5-6; 9): Shooting only 29.4 percent overall and 2 of 20 on 3-pointers, the Cornhuskers didn't have a chance against Penn State. Up next: Tuesday vs. Wisconsin.

12. Penn State (15-9, 3-8; 13): It wasn't pretty but the win against Nebraska was a third in five games for the Nittany Lions. Up next: Wednesday at Ohio State.

13. Northwestern (10-13, 1-9; 14): Against Wisconsin, the young Wildcats clawed back from 22 down to only 11 with one minute left before losing. Up next: Tuesday vs. Michigan State.

14. Rutgers (10-15, 2-10; 12): The Scarlet Knights aren't simply losing games, they're losing big. The last five have been by an average of 17.4 points. Up next: Thursday vs. Purdue.
