'No doubt the driver thought they were being inventive': Police catch car parked like THIS

Police were left astonished after spotting a car parked in an 'inventive' way.

Officers patrolling in Salford came across the black Ford car wedged in between a van and another car, pointing bonnet-first over the pavement.

Pictures show the car parked all the way across the pavement, blocking any pedestrians from passing and almost touching a fence bordering the path.

Traffic officers joked that the driver 'no doubt thought they were being inventive' - but issued a traffic offence report to the person as the car stopped people using the pavement.

Greater Manchester Traffic Police tweeted: "Traffic PCSO came across this parked over a pavement in Salford.

"No doubt the driver believed they were being inventive.

Police issued a traffic offence report (GMP Traffic)

"Pedestrians forced to use the road. Traffic offence report issued."
