No Dolphins included in SuperBook’s top-75 candidates for 2019 MVP

The Las Vegas oddsmakers continue to overlook the 2019 Miami Dolphins. In recent days, we’ve seen an update win/loss bet for the Dolphins that sits at 4.5 for the 2019 season and we’ve seen the Dolphins handed the longest odds of any team in the NFL to make the postseason (+1200) this year.

Now, the Westgate’s SuperBook has released their updated names to win the 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) award — and there’s not a single Miami Dolphin to be found on the list. Some names that you will find might surprise you: Dallas Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch made the list with 200/1 odds, the same payout you’d get for betting on Pittsburgh receiver Juju Smith-Schuster or Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

One former Miami Dolphin made the list: Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams checked in with 200/1 odds to win the NFL’s most coveted individual award. Should anyone be expecting the Dolphins to have a legitimate MVP candidate in 2019? No.

But none on the list all together? That’s a little harsh, particularly when 2019 #1 overall pick Kyler Murray gets 100/1 odds on an Arizona team that is expected to be equally bad as Miami this season. Heck, the Cardinals got 2 candidates in the top-75, the other being running back David Johnson.

Miami isn’t alone in being omitted from the list, however — both the Washington Redskins and AFC East rival Buffalo Bills also failed to land a candidate on SuperBook’s list.
