A casino off Ramkhamhaeng road has been raided and 141 punters caught at the tables. The owner has apparently faced legal action before for running an illegal gambling den at the same address.
A combined team of police and soldiers burst into the two-storey building behind a market on Ramkhamhaeng Soi 127 late on Tuesday night.
Seventy-one men and 70 women at the gambing tables were rounded up. They included 11 foreigners.
The inside of the building was remodelled as a casino and divided into rooms for different games, including baccarat and high-low dice.
Investigators said that the casino owner was a man, identified only as Hia To, who had been arrested in a past raid. Despite this, he continued to operate a gambling den at the same address.
