No deaths, 2 new Covid cases in Mohali and Panchkula

MOHALI/PANCHKULA: Two Covid cases were logged in Mohali and Panchkula on Wednesday. No deaths were reported in both cities.

Of the 95,638 cases reported so far in Mohali, 94,429 have been cured. There are 61 active cases. The district's toll tally is 1,148. Also, 3,074 people were vaccinated on Wednesday in Mohali. First dose was administered to 533 including 192 in the age group of 15-17, and the second to 2,490 including 727 in the age group of 15-17. As many as 51 received the booster dose. So far, 11,19,061 have received the first dose and 7,81,783 the second in the district. The overall vaccination figure is 19,21,750.

In Panchkula, according to chief medical officer (CMO), Dr Mukta Kumar, of the 44,090 Covid cases reported so far, 43,659 cases have been cured and discharged from the civil hospital Sector-6.

Active cases in the district reached 17. CMO also stated that 6,01,117 samples have been taken in the district so far. Total deaths in the district reported are 414.
