No deal: Panthers don’t make any moves at NFL trade deadline

Despite loads of speculation, the Panthers wound up not making any deals at the trade deadline. It’s possible Marty Hurney tried to make a splash and couldn’t agree to terms.

It was a pretty quiet deadline day around the league. Trent Williams was not traded and the only notable move was the Rams dealing Aqib Talib to the Dolphins.

The Panthers now go forward with a relatively strong roster and only a few holes. They could use more help at wide receiver and along the offensive line. Both of them can be addressed via free agency, though.

Next up, they host the Titans – who are on a two-game winning streak.
