A month has passed by without any COVID death in Telangana. According to the media bulletin issued by the Health department, the total number of people who died of COVID remained 4,111 since February 25.
The number of COVID deaths in the State ran into controversy several times in the past, especially during the peak of the COVID waves.
And, this is not the only category of detail in the bulletin where ‘0’ is displayed. The number of ICU beds, and oxygen beds occupied by COVID patients has been zero since March 20. The number of regular beds’ occupancy has been varying.
41 fresh cases
The State has recorded 41 new COVID cases on Sunday. While 13,158 samples were tested, results of 226 were awaited.
The new cases include 29 from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). Barring seven districts, all have recorded zero cases.
From March 2, 2020, to March 27 of this year, 3.41 crore samples were tested and 7,91,151 were found COVID positive. Of the total cases, 514 were active cases, 7,86,526 have recovered, and 4,111 people have died.
