PUDUCHERRY: The Union territory of Puducherry did not report any Covid-19 deaths for the second consecutive day on Thursday. The number of active Covid-19 cases remained below the 500-mark.
The territory reported 43 fresh cases even as 50 patients recovered in the last 24 hours ending at 10am on Thursday bringing down the active cases to 454. Of them, 354 are under home isolation and treatment.
Puducherry headquarters reported the maximum fresh cases with 25 followed by Karaikal (11) and Mahe (7). Yanam did not report any fresh cases for the third consecutive day. Puducherry headquarters has the maximum active cases with 295 followed by Karaikal (97), Mahe (50) and Yanam (12).
Healthcare authorities have so far tested 18.84 lakh swab samples of which 15.91 lakh samples returned negative. They have so far administered 10.89 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine to the beneficiaries.
They have administered one dose to 7.15 lakh people and two doses to 3.73 lakh people so far.
