No coronavirus deaths recorded in Leeds hospitals for 18th consecutive day

There have been no new coronavirus deaths recorded in Leeds hospitals in the last 24 hours - marking the 18th consecutive day with no new Covid-19 related fatalities.

The death toll in Yorkshire, however, has risen to 2,594 after one death was recorded at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

In England, a further four people, who had tested positive for the virus have died. This brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,554.

The patients were between 58 years-old and 75 years-old and all had known underlying health conditions. Their families have been informed.

Yesterday the confirmed coronavirus cases globally passed 25 million, according to the latest figures released by Johns Hopkins University.
