No coronavirus deaths recorded at Merseyside hospitals over last 24 hours

There have been no further coronavirus deaths at Merseyside hospitals as the region continues to make progress against the disease.

Another hopeful update from the NHS today showed that all death totals for Covid-19 at Trusts covering our region remain the same, meaning no new fatalities have been added.

The death totals remain as follows:

Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust - 4

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust - 4

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 19

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 467

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust - 3

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust - 149

St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust - 207

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust - 10

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 238

Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 135

In its update, NHS England said 22 people had died at hospitals across England.

A spokesperson said: "A further 22 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,013.

"Patients were aged between 52 and 99 years old. All patients had known underlying health conditions.

"Their families have been informed."
