No coronavirus deaths recorded at Merseyside hospitals for second day running

For the second day running no coronavirus deaths were recorded at any of the hospital trusts in our region.

While the North West region had the highest regional total of coronavirus deaths, with six deaths, none of these occurred at hospitals in Merseyside or the wider city region.

The latest figures released today by NHS England revealed that a further 11 people have died in England from Covid-19.

This data covers the time period from 4pm on Saturday to 4pm on Sunday.

29,077 people have now died with coronavirus in hospitals in England, with latest figures for all settings considerably higher at 44,000.

This means that there were no recorded hospital coronavirus deaths in Merseyside this weekend up until 4pm on Sunday.
