'No contest' - Nottingham Forest fans laugh off this Leeds United question

Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to a tweet posing the question of whether Matty Cash is a better right-back than Luke Ayling.

Cash has been in fine form for Sabri Lamouchi's side, attracting transfer interest from Serie A and Premier League sides in January after a fine start to the season for the Nigel Doughty Academy product.

The former Wycombe Wanderers youth earned a new deal in September last year, tying him down to the City Ground until 2023 at the least.

Ayling, meanwhile, is part of Marcelo Bielsa's defence at Elland Road and has helped Leeds to the top of the table.

That doesn't carry any weight with Reds fans, though, who think Cash is hands down a better right-back than Ayling.

An account on Twitter called 'Second Tier Podcast asked the question, telling users to retweet for Ayling and like for Cash.

A massive 4,800 people liked the tweet while only 630 retweeted it.

And Reds fans took to social media to have their say.

"Imagine not saying cash," one said.

Another added: "Well this is close. Like comparing Ronaldo and Benteke."

A third said: "No contest."

While a fourth chimed in with: "I honestly love that this isn't even a contest. Cashy vowed, at the start of the season, to prove that he can play right back despite being a CM and latterly a winger. He did it, but he's also managed to be the best right back in the country outside the Prem in the process."

And another said: "It’s obviously @mattycash622 by a looooong way!
