King Charles' Australian tour is still scheduled to go ahead following his cancer diagnosis.
Buckingham Palace announced in early February the monarch, 75, had begun regular treatments for cancer and would postpone public duties.
The King was expected to visit Australia in late 2024, as part of a broader trip to the region for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in October.
Paul Singer, official secretary to the governor-general, appeared before a Senate estimates hearing on Monday.
He's not aware of any plans to postpone or cancel the royal trip.
"There has been public speculation about that visit occurring near CHOGM later this year, and I'm aware of there being some preliminary planning to support that," he said.
The palace hasn't confirmed the type of cancer the King has, only that it was found during treatment for an enlarged prostate.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton have both wished the King a speedy recovery.
