No complaints to Scottish Parliament sexual harassment helpline since 2017

No calls registering complaints of sexual harassment have been received by the Scottish Parliament sexual harassment helpline since 2017.

The independent phone line, established in 2017, can be used by MSPs, their staff and parliamentary officials for support around reporting allegations of sexual harassment.

Information released by the parliament shows seven calls were made in 2017, one of which was made by a member of the public.

Since then, no calls have been recorded to date.

A Scottish Parliament spokesperson said: “Every person has the right to work in an environment that promotes respect, fairness and dignity.
