No changes to Lions’ Week 1 injury report on Thursday

The Detroit Lions held a walkthrough on Thursday instead of a regular practice. Because they started the week early and had an extra practice on Tuesday, coach Matt Patricia decided to “pull off a little bit here physically, but have a big mental day,” as he told reporters on Thursday.

As such, the injury report isn’t true to form. It is a projection of the players’ participation had it been a full practice.

Nothing changed from Wednesday. Five players were limited:

  • LB Jarrad Davis (ankle)
  • DL Da’Shawn Hand (elbow)
  • CB Rashaan Melvin (knee)
  • OL Frank Ragnow (ankle)
  • DE Trey Flowers (shoulder)

The Lions will practice red zone on Friday and then travel to Arizona. Based on what we knew on Wednesday, Ragnow probably will play while it is less certain for the rest of the group.

Final injury reports with game statuses will come out Friday afternoon.
