'No caption needed' - Oliver Burke's Instagram post gets Nottingham Forest fans excited

Oliver Burke’s throwback picture of himself and former teammate Matty Cash has got Nottingham Forest fans’ tongues wagging.

Burke and Cash both came through the Nigel Doughty Academy and were best friends at the club, before the Scotland international made his big money move to German side RB Leipzig in August 2016.

Posting on social media site Instagram, Burke uploaded a picture of himself and Cash on a previous holiday along with the words ‘no caption needed’ and the message from fans to the current Reds star was clear - talk Burke into a City Ground return.

It’s understood the 23-year-old winger has been told by Slaven Bilic to find himself a new club this summer, following West Brom’s promotion to the Premier League, and a return to the City Ground would certainly please some Reds fans.

Cash, meanwhile, who celebrated his 23rd birthday on Friday, has consistently been linked with a move away from Forest since the Reds’ hopes of promotion came to a crashing end last month.

Sheffield United have seen a £10m bid knocked back, while Burnley and West Ham are also credited with having interest in one of Forest’s outstanding performers this season.

The thought of having Cash and Burke operating down the right flank for Sabri Lamouchi's side next term is one to excite supporters, even if it remains unlikely.
