Much has been made of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers having the home-field advantage against the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday’s Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium.
However, there are some restrictions and the Buccaneers announced one of them on Tuesday.
The familiar touchdown cannon will not be fired after the Buccaneers’ big plays in the Super Bowl.
The price one pays for being at home in a game the NFL considers a neutral field. Pretty sure Bruce Arians, Tom Brady & Co. are happy to make that tradeoff.

Here is someone who did not play quarterback with the Buccaneers having a moment with the touchdown cannon in Tampa Bay.
What’s weird on this #Buccaneers canon thing is the league has played teams’ songs during intros and after scores at Super Bowls (e.g. Fly Eagles Fly or Crazy Train) but it seems artillery is where they draw the line.
