No burgers and steaks being served at some Nottingham Wetherspoon pubs due to the hot weather

Steaks and burgers aren't being served today (Thursday, July 25) at two of the city's Wetherspoon pubs due to 'excessive heat in the kitchens'.

Nothing on the grill menu is being plated up at The Gooseberry Bush, Peel Street, and The Company Inn, Castle Wharf, Canal Street.

The pubs have been affected on what has been confirmed as the hottest day ever in Nottingham since records began.

Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: "Two of our pubs, The Gooseberry bush and The Company Inn, are running a no grill menu due to excessive heat in the kitchens.

“That means that anything cooked on the grills, including steaks and burgers, are not being prepared and offered to customers.

“The pubs are informing their customers of this.

“The pubs will resume serving these meals once the temperature drops.”
