After his performances in the World Cup in 2018, speculation over Leicester City defender Harry Maguire has not gone away.
The latest reports suggest that the two Manchester clubs are to go head to head for the England cult hero during the summer, there is however, one stumbling block to a potential move to either club.
The Foxes are ambitious, and will be looking to try and break into the top six of the Premier League in the coming seasons. But, to do that they will need to keep a hold of their best players- including Maguire.
With the club not needing a cash injection due to the wealth of their Thai owners, the Foxes are reportedly demanding a world record fee of in excess of £75million for the centre-back.
Maguire will be entering his third season with Leicester having established himself as England's first choice centre back while at the club, it is reported that the 26-year-old will not push for a move away from the club this summer.
Upon reading the figure that the Foxes are demanding, Manchester United fans have suggested another target that will cost them significantly less.
With just one year remaining on his contract, it is well known that Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld has a buyout clause of just £25million, meaning that the Belgian would be £50million plus cheaper than Maguire.
The price difference has not gone unnoticed by Red Devils fans, with many seeming to prefer the cheaper option, which could spell bad news for Spurs.
