A 32-year-old Florida woman has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her friend with a pair of scissors during an Uber ride following an argument over drinking beer inside the vehicle, according to arrest records.

The incident took place on Monday after Lynn Marie Zamora and the victim were travelling in an Uber from a hotel in Miami to another friend's residence, The New York Post reported.
According to investigators, Zamora wanted to drink a beer during the ride. However, the victim repeatedly told her that alcohol could not be consumed inside the Uber. Authorities said Zamora became irritated during the exchange.
Police allege that she then pulled a pair of scissors from her purse and stabbed the victim twice — once in the left bicep and once in the left calf.
Uber driver stops car, calls 911
Following the alleged attack, the Uber driver immediately pulled over and exited the vehicle. The victim also got out, and emergency services were called.
Police responded to the scene and arrested Zamora. The injured man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said the Uber driver corroborated the victim's account of the incident.
Charged with aggravated battery
Zamora has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Uber's community guidelines prohibit riders from bringing open containers of alcohol into vehicles or consuming alcohol during trips booked through the platform.
Court hears of prior convictions
During a court appearance conducted via video link, it emerged that Zamora was already on probation in connection with a previous battery conviction involving a person aged 65 or older.
The court was also informed that she has several prior assault and battery convictions, as well as a conviction for tampering with an electronic monitoring device.
Her attorney requested that she be transferred to a hospital, but the judge denied the request, citing the pending probation violation, which must first be addressed in a separate hearing.
The judge ordered that Zamora be held on probable cause and set her bond at $7,500. She is scheduled to appear in court again on August 12 in connection with the latest charges.
