A judge ordered a man held without bail after he allegedly shot at a woman he was arguing with before barricading himself in a home when police arrived.

Alphonzos Jones, 32, is charged with violating an order of protection and a felony count of aggravated assault in the Wednesday morning incident in East Garfield Park, Chicago police said.

The pair were arguing inside a home in the 2700 block of West Gladys Avenue when the woman, 28, went outside and Jones followed, police said.

He pulled out a gun and fired in her direction, but didn’t hit her, police said.

Officers answered a call of a man with a gun about 8:45 a.m., and found he barricaded in the home, police said.

A SWAT team responded and arrested Jones after he tried to run from the back of the home, police said.

A Cook County judge on Thursday ordered Jones held without bail, according to court records.

Court records show Jones was previously charged in December 2019 with violating an order of protection, but the charges were dropped a week later.

He is due back in court Feb. 13.
