No active Covid case in 23 Uttar Pradesh districts

LUCKNOW: The daily Covid-19 count for UP has remained below 50 for three weeks in a row, said a statement from the government on Tuesday.

Only 19 cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

ACS, health and family welfare, Amit Mohan Prasad, said 23 districts — Aligarh, Amethi, Baghpat, banda, Basti, Bijnore, Chitrakoot, Deoria, Etah, Farrukhabad, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Jaunpur, Kanpur dehat, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Mau, Muzaffarnagar, Pilibhit, Rampur, Sant Kabir Nagar and Sitapur — have become free from coronavirus with all patients recovering.

The state has less than 250 active cases. Contrary to Uttar Pradesh, the daily positivity rate in Maharashtra (12%) and Kerala (16.74%) is way ahead A government statement said that in wake of the decline of the cases in state, the daily case positivity rate has dipped to 0.01%, which was around 16.84% during the peak of the second wave.
