TALLAHASSEE, Fla. _ The dominance Leonard Hamilton and the Florida State men's basketball team have enjoyed on their home court has run dry.
And the No. 23 Seminoles, hoping to return to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year, need to quickly regroup after a poor start to conference play this season.
Florida State was unable to overcome a sluggish second half against Louisville despite a late push from senior forwards Terance Mann and Braian Angola, resulting in a 73-69 loss to the Cardinals in the Donald L. Tucker Center on Wednesday night.
The defeat snapped the nation's third longest home winning streak at 28 games for the Seminoles, who dropped to 1-3 in conference play this season.
Mann willed FSU in the second half, finishing with 25 points, and Angola made two 3-pointers in the final minute to help FSU claw back to a 1-point game, but Mann's drive to the basket in the final seconds ended the team's rally.
FSU led by 13 at halftime and as many in 17 points in the first half before its poor second-half performance.
