No. 15 Princeton Continues Cinderella Run With Blowout of Missouri

For the second consecutive season, a No. 15 seed is advancing to the Sweet 16.

No. 15 seed Princeton cruised to a 78–63 blowout win over No. 7 seed Missouri on Saturday afternoon to advance to the second weekend of the men’s NCAA tournament.

Princeton joins St. Peter’s as the second No. 15 seed to advance to the Sweet 16 in as many seasons, as the Tigers used a significant rebounding edge and 12 made three pointers to coast to an easy round of 32 victory.

Princeton was paced offensively by senior guard Ryan Langborg, who finished with a game-high 22 points, while adding six rebounds and four assists. Sophomore guard Blake Peters added 17 points off the bench on five made threes for Princeton in the victory.

As for Missouri, they just couldn’t quite figure out the Princeton defense all night, as they finished with just six made threes on 22 attempts. The Tigers were also out-rebounded by 15, a number that proved decisive in the outcome of the game.

Princeton will advance to play the winner of No. 6 Creighton and No. 3 Baylor in the Sweet 16 on Thursday night.
