The good news keeps on coming for the Male softball program.
Just two weeks after being crowned KHSAA state softball champions and being named the No. 1 team in the Super 25, the Bulldogs ace pitcher picked her future school.
Rising senior pitcher Kelsie Houchens has verbally committed to Western Kentucky, she announced over Twitter on Friday night.
Houchens finished her junior season with a 25-0 record with an 0.57 ERA and 173 strikeouts for the Bulldogs team that went 39-0 and a won state and national championship. She was also named to the state all-tournament team.
The Hilltoppers, led by Amy Tudor, finished the season 37-13 — posting the program’s best-ever win percentage (.740) and advanced to the Conference USA Tournament.
