Nketiah confidence, Ben White backing, no regrets - your Leeds United's January transfer window verdict

The halfway point of the season is always a good opportunity to take stock and assess how things are shaping up for Leeds United.

That's why we at LeedsLive asked you, our readers, to give us your input on what you'd like to see and what you expect after Christmas.

So as we hot the 23-match mark, hundreds of you filled in our transfer survey, which has thrown up some interesting reading.

Here's what the feedback we got from the dedicated Leeds fanbase.

Nothing too drastic here but only it's striking that only 12.8% are completely satisfied with the squad and don't think Leeds need reinforcements, although that's four times as many as those who think the Whites need to go big and sign at least four players.

More than half of you believe a couple of additions is enough.

Over half of the responses think Leeds need a striker, which perhaps gives us a hint of how confidence you are of keeping Eddie Nketiah.

If the youngster does get recalled by Arsenal and sent elsewhere, you'd expect that number to skyrocket as it would leave Patrick Bamford as the only out-and-out centre forward option in the senior set-up.

We received some interesting names here, with a fair few votes for Erling Braut Haaland and Jarrod Bowen but by a distance the most popular choice is Newcastle United's Dwight Gayle - a familiar answer from these kinds of surveys.

This one splits the fanbase, but the majority of you are confident that Nketiah will remain a Leeds player for the rest of the season. But with 43% of you believing he's off, that probably explains why striker is the most demanded position to strengthen in January.

No surprise to see Ben White, arguably United's best player of the season so far, continue to make a big impact after Christmas, but lots of you are also expecting more to come from the marquee signing Helder Costa.

Only one person voted for Illan Meslier to make a big impact. If Kiko Casilla gets suspended, you never know...

More than two thirds of you believe that Leeds could be left ruing their inaction in the winter transfer window if they fail to add any new players. Let's wait and see...
