PATNA: Bihar CM and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar on Saturday welcomed the decision to declare West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankhar as the NDA’s candidate for the vice-president post.
"JD(U) will support Dhankhar in the vice-presidential election. I extend good wishes for his victory in the election," Nitish said in a statement issued by the CM’s office.
Earlier, the BJP parliamentary board picked Dhankhar as its candidate for the vice-president post.
