Nisa convenience store near Falkirk on market for over half a million

A Nisa branded convenience store near Falkirk has gone on the market for £575,000.

The shop in the village of Shieldhill offers a successful food-to-go operation, selling sandwiches and rolls and full meals including barbecue packs, which in itself has an average revenue of around £7,500 per week.

The shop, which also sticks a range of groceries and alcohol, also offers a delivery service through the  Snappy Shopper app which brings in around £10,000 per week.

The premises on the main street, two miles south-east of Falkirk, was rebuilt, extended and refurbished in March 2019.

Owners Steven and Catherine Peddie are selling up to focus on other business ventures.

Daniel Arrandale, director of retail at selling agent Christie & Co, said: “With a strong emphasis on food-to-go meal options on offer throughout the day, Nisa Shieldhill is a wonderful example of modern convenience store retailing. The tie-up with the Snappy Shopper delivery app has been hugely successful aided by our clients’ prominent social media promotion.”
