Nirmal Purja’s body recovered and brought down to base camp after avalanche

Nirmal Purja Base Camp

Search teams, supported by military helicopters, recovered the bodies of renowned British-Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja and three other climbers on Wednesday.
This recovery brings the total number of bodies found to seven, nearly a week after an avalanche struck a 10-member international expedition on Broad Peak on July 30.
The Alpine Club of Pakistan confirmed the successful recovery of Purja, Chinese climber Zhong Wang, Nima Sherpa, and Kilu Sherpa, with their bodies now at Base Camp.
A recovery team, led by mountaineer Mingma G, conducted the "exceptionally challenging" operation above the 5,000-meter mark.
Three climbers remain missing, including Nepali climber Nawang Thindhu Sherpa, with efforts continuing to locate and recover them when conditions allow.
