Nir Bitton's epic Kieran Tierney farewell as Celtic star hopes THAT catchphrase is gone forever

"S'happenin Bitton?"

Kieran Tierney has enough Celtic memories to last a lifetime but few moments will be more fondly remembered than his comic timing salute to Nir Bitton.

It was the summer of 2017, as Arsenal's £25million signing greeted the Israeli on the first day of pre-season training as the defender stalked the Lennoxtown corridors as if he was the club's meet and greet manager.

The clip was a smash-hit online and Hoops fans across the land couldn't stop saying help themselves from re-enacting Tierney's one-liner.

But Bitton hopes the phrase is gone forever after his pal secured his big move to the Premier League.

The Israeli wrote on Twitter: "Good luck my bro, go and smash it.

"But no more S'happenin tho!"

Tierney is still on the way back from injury after double hernia surgery but Neil Lennon revealed the Scotland international could be back in the in the next fortnight.

The player himself hailed the Hoops fans with a touching social media post in the wake of his move to North London.

He said: "Every single coach and staff member who has helped me on my way to getting where I am today I am so grateful for all the hours help you put into me making me a better player and a better person.

"My team mates have been the best I could possibly have asked for what a bunch of legends man who I’ll be supporting until the end. Where can I start with the fans? I tried my best to represent you every time I went onto that pitch.

"The relationship we had together and the memories we created and history we made was incredible.. I will cherish every single second of it."
