Nintendo Store App Now Shows Gaming History Across Switch, 3DS, and Wii U

Most modern consoles and even PC platforms keep track of your games and playtimes. Similarly, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 also have this feature, albeit it’s not as good as the other ones. It’s basically a staple with modern gaming.

But what’s interesting is that Nintendo has been tracking this data since the days of 3DS and Wii U; they just never showed it.  But now you can see the time you spent playing your favorite Nintendo games.

The Nintendo app is available on most app stores, and it’s basically a mobile app that allows you to buy games, check your library, and do other usual stuff. Pretty similar to how the Steam and other apps work. If you have an old Nintendo account and you spent a decent amount of time on the 3DS and Wii U, then you can see what games/apps you used and how much time you spent on them.

Whether you have poured hours mastering combos on Super Smash Bros, spent time hunting Pokémon, or just browsed a lot — everything is available on the app. It can be both a nostalgic trip and an embarrassing revelation.

I think it’s surprising, but also scary at the same time. Seeing your play history from the good old days is definitely nostalgic, but it also goes to show how long Nintendo has been collecting data.

So, if you want to know what you spent most of your time playing back then, then here is how. It’s not super complicated, but the information is hidden.

How To Check Your Nintendo Play Activity

Maybe you spent more than normal time grinding Super Smash Bros, racing in Mario Kart, or playing the Zelda games, and if you want to know how much time that is, here is how.

  • Download the My Nintendo App and log in with your Nintendo account.
  • Make your way to the profile section.
  • Scroll down until you see Play Activity.
  • Click on it, and it will show all the games you have ever played using that account going back as far as the 3DS.

It’s important to mention that you can only see this data using the App. Neither Switch nor Switch 2 will display it. They will show the games that you played on the device, but it won’t show your entire play history.

So, the My Nintendo app is a must if you want to check that.  And, generally, the app is useful if you want to check out new games, deals without having to open up your Switch. You can buy and download games on the go. Overall, it’s a helpful app.
