"'Ninja Gaiden 4' is not a game built for comfort. It is built for those who still believe that skill matters," Steam user TED said in a review. "Every cut, every dodge, every perfectly timed strike reinforces that belief."
"This is genuinely up there with 'Ninja Gaiden Black' and 'Ninja Gaiden II' with how awesome it is," Boogiepoppu said in a separate review. "I've been a 'NG' fan since the day I came out the womb and seeing my favorite franchise ever make a comeback like this is a dream come true."
4.1 Stars on Google Reviews
"Ninja Gaiden 4" is enjoying relatively positive reviews over at Google Reviews, where it has a rating of 4.1 stars as of writing.
"Amazing as always! Yakumo is a cool character, but I'm not gonna lie, I still think Ryu Hayabusa should remain the main character," Google user Brandon Mammola said in a review.
"The gameplay is fantastic, so fun, fast and with new cool mechanics," Mammola added. "This title in terms of difficulty is way easier than the predecessors, but still a lil hard for those who are new to this game."
"Well it's a game, but it's not a 'Ninja Gaiden' game," Vul said in a separate Google review. "The combat was completely changed to appeal to hack-and-slash fans, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but with how easy the combat is, it's no longer a 'Ninja Gaiden' game."
