Ninja Diagnosed With Skin Cancer, Urges Fans To Get Checkups

Ninja, a top Twitch streamer, revealed his skin cancer diagnosis.

Ninja, the renowned professional video game player and top Twitch streamer globally, recently disclosed that he has been diagnosed with skin cancer. In a candid social media post, Ninja, whose real name is Tyler Blevins, shared that during a routine skin check, a mole on the bottom of his foot was identified as melanoma, a form of skin cancer. Fortunately, medical professionals are optimistic that the melanoma was detected in its early stages.

Following the initial diagnosis, Ninja underwent a procedure to remove the melanoma and a surrounding area where another dark spot had appeared. The aim of this procedure was to ensure that the cancerous cells were completely excised. Ninja emphasized the importance of regular skin checkups and encouraged his followers to prioritize their health by seeking medical attention for any concerning skin changes.

At 32 years old, Ninja rose to fame in the gaming world in 2009 as a competitive player in 'Halo 3.' However, it was his involvement in the popular game 'Fortnite' in 2017 that catapulted him to global stardom. Known for his skill and engaging personality, Ninja gained widespread recognition for his gaming prowess, leading to collaborations with music icons like Drake and appearances on mainstream television shows such as 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' and 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show.'

With an impressive following of nearly 24 million subscribers on YouTube and 19 million followers on Twitch, Ninja has become a prominent figure in the gaming and entertainment industry. His journey from a competitive gamer to a cultural phenomenon has solidified his status as one of the most influential personalities in the world of online gaming.
