Nineties alternative dance/rock band Space are set to play at a summer gig in Uddingston next year.
Organisers of Bothwell Scarecrow Festival have announced that the popular 'Female of The Species' and 'The Ballad of Tom Jones' chart toppers will headline their one-day family friendly music festival.
The event will be held at Uddingston Cricket and Sports Club on Saturday, September 10, 2022.
Scottish Indie new wave band The Bluebells will also perform to the crowds on the musicfest main stage, as well as local band Jumbo Gibson.
Joe Mulholland, chairman of the festival, told Lanarkshire Live : "Around 2000 people attended our last gig on 2019 and we are hoping for a great turnout next year too.
“The full line-up is still to be announced, but we are delighted to have Space and The Bluebells headlining and of course the fabulous Jumbo Gibson, giving them the opportunity to play the big stage too.
"There will be a full bar with refreshments for adults. And kids young and old can look forward to a whole host of fun activities.
"There will be stalls, food vendors and more.
"We are also teaming up with the Uddingston Music Club to put on an acoustic Showcase Stage where you will see some of the amazing local talent we have in the area.
"All festival attendees must have a ticket allocated to them, including children under 12 years going free. Over 12's require full price tickets and all children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
