A major rescue operation was sparked when a nine-year-old boy plunged down cliffs near an iconic Scots lighthouse.
The youngster had to be airlifted to hospital more than 100 miles away after the horror fall yesterday.
The alarm was raised around 4.25pm on Sunday after the lad fell around 12 feet at Ardnamurchan Lighthouse at the most westerly point on the UK mainland, on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula.
It is believed he hit a ledge on the way down and landed on the beach and suffered cuts and bruises.
Kilchoan and Salen coastguard rescue teams, and the coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Stornoway were sent.
The boy was given medical treatment by the coastguard who stretchered him to the helicopter before he was transferred to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
The condition of the boy is currently unknown.
