Nine times people tried to pronounce Scottish names...and failed miserably

Having a Scottish name can be a bit of a trial in this day and age of call centres and telephone banking - not to mention the daily struggle of baristas insisting on taking your name so they can write it on your cup.

It's bad enough that you never find your name on a gift shop key ring, but do people really have to butcher your fine gaelic name when they pronounce it as well? It's really adding insult to injury.

Then there are people who refuse to believe it's a real name as if you're an elf from The Lord of the Rings, and the many others who can't resist making a crap joke when you tell them what you're called, e.g.
