Nine pilgrims were injured when a private tempo traveller in which they were motoring up towards Srivari Padalu situated atop the Narayanagiri hills about four km from the town collided with an APSRTC bus coming in the opposite direction.
Though there were no causalities the vehicular traffic remained disrupted for over half an hour.
The injured were extended medical treatment at TTD-run Aswini hospital.
The front portion of the tempo was badly damaged in the mishap.
