Nine pictures of lockdown parties in Downing Street revealed in Sue Gray report

Pictures of events during lockdown held in Downing Street have been released as part of the Sue Gray report. Images had been leaked of some events already but as part of the full report, released today, more pictures have been released. See our the latest updates, reactions and findings from the Sue Gray report here.

Ms Gray, has worked in the Cabinet Office since the late 1990s and is Second Permanent Secretary. She had published an interim version of her report which said there had been "failures of leadership and judgement" in Number 10 and the Cabinet Office. The publication of the full report was put on pause due to the Met Police investigation which saw 126 fines handed out by the police to 83 people. The Prime Minister and his wife Carrie were both issued with £50 fixed penalty notices last month for breaking Covid laws at a birthday party for Mr Johnson in Downing Street in June 2020. You can see the details of the report here.

The Met Police announced last week it had concluded its investigation having examined 510 photographs, as well as CCTV images, emails, logs of entries into buildings, diary entries and witness statements as well as 204 questionnaires from people who had attended events.
