As many as nine persons were killed and several others injured in two road accidents that took place in Medak district on Monday.
Car hits lorry
According to the police, three persons were killed and two were injured when a car coming from the Shamshabad airport hit a lorry parked on the roadside at Narsingi. They were returning from the airport after sending off their relative Ravi, who went to work in Dubai. Three persons – E. Krishna (28), Phani Anjaneyulu (25) and P. Kishtaiah (60) — died on the spot and two others, E. Kaviya and K. Ajay, were injured and shifted to the hospital for treatment.
In another ghastly accident, six persons — five of them died on the spot — were killed and several others injured at Sangaipet and Ghanapur road on Monday afternoon.
According to the police, the six persons were killed when an RTC bus hit a DCM van. Inspector of Police (Rural) Rajasekhar informed that about 30 persons hired a DCM van from Fasalwadi to visit the Vana Durga Bhavani temple at Edupayala. While they were proceeding, an RTC bus coming in the opposite direction hit it head on, resulting in the accident. The deceased persons were identified as Ch Madhavi (40) of Angadipet, N Durgamma (50) and G Manemma (52) of Ganjigudem, G. Rajita and D. Madhurim (10) of Fasalwadi and M. Manjula (40) of Badrigudem.
All of them are close relatives and had planned the temple visit. The injured were shifted to the government hospital for treatment. Post-mortem examination was held at the Medak district hospital. Kulcharam police registered a case and are investigating.

Collector K. Dharma Reddy visited the hospital and consoled the injured.
He has assured them required assistance from the government.
