A further nine people have died after contracting coronavirus across the Bristol region over the past 24 hours.
The Department of Health's latest data shows five deaths were reported in South Gloucestershire today (February 24).
Three more people died in North Somerset, and one in Bath and North East Somerset.
Across all four local authorities in the West of England, another 87 Covid cases were confirmed today - a drop from yesterday's 106.
Bristol saw the biggest jump, with 43. Our city's Covid rate per 100,000 population now stands at 109 - slightly below the national average of 119.9.

South Gloucestershire reported the second-highest rise of 18, its rate is 102.8.

UK figures
The UK's coronavirus death toll has risen to 121,305 after a further 442 more fatalities were confirmed.
This afternoon the Department of Health also said a further 9,938 people had tested positive for Covid in 24 hours.
