Fourteen people have been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged paedophile ring operating in Glasgow.
Nine men and five women have appeared before Glasgow Sheriff Court across an 11 day period between October 9 to 11.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the arrests and said investigations are ongoing.
A statement said: "We can confirm 14 people have been arrested and charged in connection with alleged child sexual offences in the Glasgow area.
“A 36-year-old woman and 47-year-old man have been arrested and charged and were due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, 9 October, 2020.
“Five men aged 38, 42, 43, 47 and 54 have been arrested and charged and were due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 12 October, 2020.
"Three other women, aged 35, 49 and 48 have also been arrested and charged and were due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 13 October, 2020.
“A 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged and was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 14 October, 2020.
"A 39-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man have been arrested and charged and were due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, 15 October, 2020.
"A 44-year-old man has been arrested and charged and was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 20 October, 2020.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
