Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor says he told Ted Cruz to 'f k off' when he asked to be put on concert guest list

Nine Inch Nails rocker Trent Reznor says he shared a simple message to Texas senator Ted Cruz when he asked for tickets to a recent concert.

"He was bugging to get on the guest list, and I told him to f _ k off," Reznor told the crowd Tuesday at his band's show in Irving, Texas, as seen in a video shared to Reddit.

Reznor noted to the audience that the Republican politician "might be here tonight" after expressing interest in attending the concert.

He also asked the audience who voted for Cruz, and even had the venue's overhead lights turned on so he could see the crowd better.

"Raise your hand, you guys," Renzor said. "Nothing to be ashamed of. Just checking."

Reznor went on to explain that Cruz _ who won this month's senate race over Democratic candidate Beto O'Rourke _ was once attended another Nine Inch Nails gig as a member of their guest list several years ago.

"He ... drank all the beer, and was just a pain in the a_ to be around," the artist said.
