A total of nine coronavirus 'hotspots' in Scotland have recorded the highest infections rates this week as the pandemic continues.
Cases have been rapidly falling over the past seven days after daily counts rocketed to record levels in summer as restrictions eased.
But there are still nine council areas with rates of 400+ of positive cases per 100,000 of the population - the highest infection level possible.
Public Health Scotland provides a breakdown of the number of cases in each local authority area, with South Ayrshire currently topping the list.
South Ayrshire joins eight other areas out of the 31 with the highest rates in the country, according to figures.

This is down from 13 areas last week, with West Dunbartonshire as the previous Covid 'hotspot'.
Meanwhile, the lowest infection rate is in the Shetland Islands, with 48.1 cases per 100,000 people in the past week.
It comes as the Scottish Government has confirmed that 34 people have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours and 2,693 new cases had also been identified overnight.
